Kiana thought he was a cat because Jimothy has a spine syndrome where his body is compressed and rounded with longer legs. Because of that unusual build, he stood out immediately and looked different from the raccoons most people are used to seeing. When Kiana posted a video of him, many people
thought that it was AI generated due to his unusual shape. His story spread widely, inspiring websites, documents, artwork and memes created by people who found him both strange and endearing.
