Our Trip to Great Wolf Lodge Was Amazing
Looking for a summer vacation destination close to home that offers thrilling fun and adventure without the scorching desert heat? Come to Great Wolf Lodge in Scottsdale, Arizona! This family-friendly resort offers a
variety of exciting activities such as a huge water park, awesome arcade, and neat mini golf course, all within
one air-conditioned building.
This summer I had a chance to go visit Great Wolf Lodge for the first time. When I initially got there, I was amazed by how massive the site was. I was so excited! The second my family stepped in, we all gasped in
amazement. The place was so colorful and there were lots of cool attractions and experiences. I couldn’t wait
to start exploring everything it had to offer.
The first place we went was the water park. I’ve seen other water parks before, but nothing could prepare me for how big this one was. Also, it was all inside! I played in the wave pool, lazy river, water playground, pool basketball court, and lily pad course. Then, my friends and I went on the five big water slides in the corner of the park. The first one we tried was called Wolf Tail, a high-speed trapdoor body
slide with a nearly vertical 20-foot drop. Next, we rode Diamondback Drop and River Canyon Run, which used large rafts that could hold up to four or five people. Finally, we went on Alberta Falls, two one- to two-
person raft slides filled with twists, turns, and sudden drops. We had an amazing time at Great Wolf Lodge’s
indoor water park. In total, my friends and I spent about four hours enjoying all the attractions and rides!
After playing for such a long time, we went to the suite we had booked, which was located in the same building. As soon as I stepped inside, I was amazed by how spacious it was. We stayed in a Grizzly Bear
Suite that featured two bedrooms, three beds, two bathrooms, three sinks, three TVs, and a gorgeous view of the surrounding area. After all the excitement and exhaustion from the water park, it was the perfect
place to relax.
At night, we saw a loud concert in the downstairs lobby and many kids were enjoying MagiQuest, an interactive live-action role-playing game where kids can become wizards and play with various stations by waving a magical wand. Next time, I might do MagiQuest too. My family and I went back to our
suite and got a good night’s sleep. The next day, we ate breakfast and headed back to Tucson. Although I was
sad that our trip was over, it was an unforgettable experience, and Great Wolf Lodge was the best! I hope we get to visit Great Wolf Lodge again soon!
