Sun Tran invites riders, families, and community members to join the celebration of its 50th Anniversary on Friday, September 19, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the historic Ronstadt Transit Center (215 E. Congress St.).
This celebration will feature food trucks serving Sonoran hot dogs and hamburgers to the first 200 attendees who stop by the Sun Tran welcome booth for a food ticket. Guests can also enjoy complimentary water while exploring activities such as games, prizes, and face painting. A selection of limited edition Sun Tran merch will be available while supplies last!
To celebrate this milestone, Mayor Regina Romero, Director of Transportation and Mobility Sam Credio, and Sun Tran General Manager Mikel Oglesby will deliver remarks highlighting Sun Tran’s history and success. In addition, Sun Tran will honor several dedicated employees, including bus operators who have proudly served the community for nearly 50 years.
