The celebration marks the completion of a multi-phase project that began in 2020. The project was designed to create an inclusive and engaging play environment for children and families.

“This park embodies our community’s commitment to equity and inclusive play,” said Vice Mayor Lane Santa Cruz. “With Intermountain’s partnership, we’re ensuring children and families of all abilities have a place to connect, explore, and belong.”

Phase 1 of the project included construction of a playground for 5–12-year-olds , a shade structure, park fencing, artificial turf, and concrete animal play figurines. Phase 2 added a nature-themed play area, three ramadas, a drinking fountain, and three raised planters. Phase 3, now complete, features two pickleball courts, fencing, a maze, a swing set, painted games on concrete, and irrigation and landscaping improvements.
