SUMMARY:Intermountain Sensory Park Grand Opening
DESCRIPTION:The celebration marks the completion of a multi-phase project t
 hat began in 2020. The project was designed to create an inclusive and eng
 aging play environment for children and families.\n“This park embodies o
 ur community’s commitment to equity and inclusive play\,” said Vice Ma
 yor Lane Santa Cruz. “With Intermountain’s partnership\, we’re ensur
 ing children and families of all abilities have a place to connect\, explo
 re\, and belong.”\nPhase 1 of the project included construction of a pla
 yground for 5–12-year-olds \, a shade structure\, park fencing\, artific
 ial turf\, and concrete animal play figurines. Phase 2 added a nature-them
 ed play area\, three ramadas\, a drinking fountain\, and three raised plan
 ters. Phase 3\, now complete\, features two pickleball courts\, fencing\, 
 a maze\, a swing set\, painted games on concrete\, and irrigation and land
 scaping improvements.
