Ward 6 Council Member Miranda Schubert and Tucson Parks and Recreation invite the community to celebrate the grand reopening of Armory Park, 222 S. Fifth Ave., on Thursday, July 2, beginning at 6 p.m. Please plan to bring a blanket or chair to sit and enjoy the performances throughout the evening.
Activity Schedule
- 6 p.m. – Dignitary speeches and ribbon cutting
- 6:20 p.m.- Youth Mariachi Ensemble
- 6:435 p.m. – DJ Q of Sonido Tambo
- 7:30 p.m. – Chicha Dust
Other activities include the El Ray Classic and Lowrider Car Show along 13th Street, Flam Chen stilt performers and a circus workshop, food trucks with food available for purchase, giant yard games, KIIM FM live radio spot from 5-7 p.m., and Children’s Museum Discovery Night with pay-what-you-wish admission (adults must enter with a child).
