Get ready to experience the rush of winning against your opponents and becoming a champion!
Rebekah Avila-Porter, video game producer for Phoenix Fan Fusion, gave us the inside scoop on what to look forward to at this year’s event. Avila-Porter has worked with Fan Fusion since 2014 and plans panels, events, and performances that have everything and anything to do with video games.
Avila-Porter has planned video game tournaments for all ages. Kids 12 and under can find tournaments specifically for them by looking at the Fan Fusion schedule for events marked “Sidekick.” The Arizona Pokémon Go community will be in attendance, sharing tips and tricks of the game. They will also have an interactive showcase and mini panels. Fan Fusion will also be celebrating Pokémon’s 30th and Zelda’s 40th anniversaries with a discussion about their history and the impact they’ve had on the world. Don’t like Pokémon? Try the Arcade Oasis, where you can play classic games for free! The weekend will also include KPop Demon Hunters- and Five Nights at Freddy’s-themed parties. For those 18 and older, Link and Yoda will be ROASTED on Saturday and Sunday.
Lastly, Avila-Porter has created something new this year called Cozy Cove. It’s a place where you can relax and spend your free time playing calming games like Animal Crossing and Dreamlight Valley.
Now, go buy your tickets and get ready to play, party, and have an incredible time! More information at www.FanFusion.com.

Checkmate! Whether you’re in the mood to roll the dice, spin the wheel, or draw a card, Phoenix Fan Fusion has a game for everyone!
Viviana Chavez, Tabletop Gaming Producer for Phoenix Fan Fusion, let me in on all the juicy details of this event, happening June 5–7 at the Phoenix Convention Center. This is Chavez’s first year as a producer after working with Fan Fusion as a crew member and manager in the past. She has organized a total of 210 tables just for tabletop games! This category includes board games, card games, and TTRPGs (tabletop role-playing games).
This year’s event is even more inclusive for everyone, featuring game demos where you can actually learn to play games you may not be familiar with. Featured activities will include an Uno tournament, Lotería, and a multitude of D&D-themed activities. The creators of the classic Settlers of Catan will also be making an appearance! All of these and more will appear at this grand event. When the weekend is over, you’ll leave feeling like a winner!
LEGO Lounge, Pokémon & Much More!

The always popular LEGO Lounge is back! This year, you can build and race your own LEGO cars. Check out the Arizona Pokémon GO Community Center at Fan Fusion. You are sure to see some of your favorite Pokémon, meet fellow trainers and possibly run into Team Rocket! The Pokémon GO Community Center will be in North 121A this year. The center will have charging stations, themed activities, prizes and more! All ages are welcome.
There is always fun for families at Sunset and Meteor’s Camp Carnival! Kids can learn how to draw their own Kpop characters, make mini-objects using 3D pens or fashion a foam gauntlet in the Cosmic Academy, chill and play a retro game on the Switch in the Cozy Cove, play fun carnival games, or jump, spin and play in the Superhero Sensory Room.
