Tucson Mayor Regina Romero, Ward 2 Council Member Paul Cunningham, and Tucson Parks and Recreation invite you to celebrate the completion of improvements at Palo Verde Park, 425 S. Mann Ave., on Friday, May 29, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place near the new playground.
The project delivers comprehensive park enhancements, including new and replacement LED ballfield lighting, an upgraded irrigation system, and a new shaded playground. Two full-size basketball courts now occupy the former tennis court site, while three new pickleball courts have been installed where the basketball court previously stood. The project also added 101 trees throughout the park, along with multiple green stormwater infrastructure features and 42 native desert shade trees at the Langley Parcel. Two new ramadas are scheduled for completion by the end of June.
