The creative storyline will have you having fun the whole time! You’ll love the catchy and fun songs! If you managed to catch it, I hope you had a fun time! Little kids all over the world watch “Blippi” every day. They also love music. So what if I told you that the two of them combined? On Oct. 26, I went to see “Blippi: Join the Band Tour” at the Fox Tucson Theatre. “Blippi” is a TV show on Amazon Prime Video. It is a great way for kids all over to learn new things. Using silly and fun games, “Blippi” helps teach kids about new and important things about our world.
 
In the live show, Blippi and his best friend Meekah teach us all about music in fun and interactive ways. Although the first act was great, right before the second act of the show the set broke down, which eventually caused us to leave because it had taken more than an hour and it still hadn’t been fixed. Therefore I will only be reviewing the first act of the show because I did not get the chance to see the second.       
 
The visual aspects are a big part of musical theater. They help us interpret what is happening on the stage. Visual props, sets, and costumes help us recognize our favorite characters and interpret the fun music. The actors used a lot of props on stage. They were colorful and big, fun to just see them and also fun to see the actors use them. The set also was very creative and fun, it was a giant TV behind the actors
that would change to match the scene that they were on, so instead of bringing sets on and off the stage the TV would change for them! The costumes were colorful and a little silly, bringing the fun and creativity that little kids like.
 
The story is all about a band, while on stage they have a live band that acts and also plays music! The overall sound of the show was ok, with a few mic cut outs here and there. The music and singing was amazing, the songs were catchy and fun causing everyone to dance in their seats.
 
Performing on stage takes a lot of bravery, especially when you’re also dancing and singing. The Blippi Buddies in particular are very fun because of their amazing backup dancing and energy. The dancing by everyone was really amazing; using the catchy beat everyone made up silly dance moves that you’ll be repeating for days!
 
“Blippi: Join the Band Tour” is an original show featuring original songs and script. The show is definitely for younger kids but catchy and fun for the whole family!
