It's the Moment for 'KPop Demon Hunters'
“KPop Demon Hunters” is one of the greatest animated movies I’ve ever seen. The characters develop into their full potential throughout
the movie.
For example, Rumi is told she must hide a secret. She fears being rejected by her friends and people around her. By the end of the movie, Rumi conveys how she feels through the song “What It Sounds Like.” Rumi finds that her friends will accept her no matter what, and Zoey and Mira’s insecurities come to light as well. Speaking of music, all the songs performed in the movie were exceptional, full of meaning and concept, and sent complete shivers down my spine.
Giving Jinu a regretful background and having him befriend Rumi was a nice addition to the plot. There were a couple down points in the movie such as when the other Saja Boys, Hunters and other important characters didn’t get enough screen time. Some critics even argue that the 1 hour and 35 minutes wasn’t enough to portray every element of the story, calling it rushed and underdeveloped.
But the question remains, “Will there be a sequel?” There should be, and countless others would agree. From children to even parents, everyone has only good things to say about this movie.
