Inspired at Fencing World Championship
This summer, I got to go to Milwaukee for the fencing world championships. Kids, teens, and adults from all across the world came to Milwaukee to compete for first place.
The venue was packed with people—I had never seen so many people in one spot before! A lot of skilled players came to compete, and I was motivated by their speed, strength and precision. I’m going to work hard to be like them one day.
I also saw a lot of college coaches come and observe high school players. I saw coaches from famous colleges like Harvard, Yale, Johns Hopkins, and MIT, and I even got to take a picture with some of them.
After the tournament, my brother and I went to see Lake Michigan. It was so huge that I couldn’t see over the water! Overall, Milwaukee was a great experience and I can’t wait for next year’s tournament.
